This movie was full of potential and I generally enjoyed it until the ending. Once he’s on the scene we get a good look at the evil side of the movie.

Things happen after this exchange that shows just how different Nobleman can be. He seems insistent that Ja-Yoon knew him but when she doesn’t react to him, he’s stunned. On the way to the competition, they run into Mr. So far not much has happened in the movie. Its nice to see that they are doing well. I absolutely love seeing my old loves (actors) in movies. I’ll have to make a separate post on that because MY GOODNESS! That girl can play a ROLE. The female lead is currently starring in Itaewon Class which is ridiculously popular. Every few minutes I would squeak in surprise when a familiar face would come on the screen. The Witch Subversion has an all-star cast. Her friend strongly suggests that she tries out for a singing competition that could take care of her ailing mother’s medical bills. We time jump 10 years and see the girl living a normal life. He and his wife decide to take care of her. An older man sees her and rushes immediately to her side. The young child turns out to be a little girl named Ja-Yoon and we get our first good look at her passed out on the ground. 12 mins in and I need an inhaler /FMn3QS2o6g The first thing I want to fuss about in #TheWitchSubversion is all the cigarette smoking. I was intrigued but also wanted to know why everyone was smoking so much during a search. The evil woman in charge tells the men to stop searching since the child would be dead soon anyway. Thankfully, she didn’t get caught and was able to getaway. The Witch Subversion opens up with a young child running through the woods covered in blood. Let’s start at the beginning and as always, no spoilers. Also, Choi Woo Shik because I think he is an amazing actor. I was looking forward to the movie because I am the queen of dark movies and horror. There’s action, a plot, and some form of ending that leaves viewers hoping for a sequel. I want to start this review/recap by saying this. and the two characters who alike are twins and not clones? Excited for Part 2.Main Cast: Kim Da Mi, Jo Min Soo, Choi Woo Shik Maybe the Baek sisters and Ja-yoon are all clones? I find it highly suspicious that this story revolving around genetic modifications. It was already stated that Ja-yoon excels in academics and can draw/paint/sing well so perhaps the paintings are an indication of a genetic connection between Dr. But look at the room they're sitting in - it's filled with paintings. which also means the girl in the white is a fellow test subject like Ja-yoon.Īs for the woman in the wheelchair, she mentioned her "sister" and it was implied she was referring to Dr. I'd be more inclined to believe that the scars are the result of test-subjects being put through grueling tests. When Ja-yoon had flashbacks, there were images of kids who already had large scars across their heads. The scars on people's faces isn't indicative that Ja-yoon had attacked them necessarily. There are several things that are a bit fuzzy due to lack of information/consistency so a lot of assumptions need to be made in order to come to any sort of plausibility. We will find out next year if all goes well. The question really is, was she raised by her mother all her life, unlike the lab-children. She is surely not a regular human, because she sneaked up on the girl unnoticed. Or - notice the scars on the girl's face - she might have been injured by witch-girl, or during the carnage when witch-girl escaped, or just during a regular test, and was discarded or dejected, and the professor saved her for her sister, since she was a weakling anyway. So she made a deal, gave some eggs to the lab, but got one child for herself. Purely speculating here, but what if mom's motivation to offering her eggs was because she wanted a child of her own. The mother and the professor were sisters, and they were both involved in this experiment. So the girl in white was either the woman's real daughter, or another brain-engineered lab-rat-child that was somehow got re-adopted to the biological mother (assuming all those children were from the eggs harvested from this woman). The biological mother of the protagonist said 'mother is fine' - refering to herself.
